Share your mania with the crowd! Bring an item(s) from your collection and get your 2 minutes on the stage to talk about your passions. Or just come to listen...afterward we'll walk to Union Station to check out the model railroad mania!
+ Community Challenge #5: Bottled Up!
What are the experiences you would like to preserve? Fill a bottle with the memories of people and places from your life. Saved material can take any form - messages, objects, smells, sounds, photos - anything that shares your story. Multiple bottles welcome. Please decide if your bottle can be opened by visitors or if it should remain sealed.
Submissions can be dropped off on 3.6.09 and 3.7.09 from 12-5 PM at the Denver Community Museum. Free to visit and participate. All ages.
+ Pop-up Denver: Create a giant pop-up scene in Denver's pop-up museum. This live community art project is part of the upcoming Denver Arts Week. This free event takes place on Saturday, November 15th from 12-5 PM at the DCM.
+ The second Community Challenge has been announced. "Mummify Me" asks participants - what object would you give eternal life to? Mummify something you would like to preserve - any shape/size, using any materials you desire. Share any relevant mummy stories, facts, accoutrements or charms for display. Inanimate, non-decaying mummies only please.

+ The first Community Challenge, "The Missing Map," is underway!
Create a globe of any size, from any material, sharing any narrative you desire. Consider how your globe will be displayed (hung or resting) into your design.
+ The Denver Community Museum announces its first location!
